About the Role: Visiting Angels of Western North Carolina & Catawba Valley is seeking a structured, compliance-obsessed Operations Manager to master the day-to-day and grow into our Director of Operations.
This is a leadership-track position for a systems-thinker who solves problems decisively, keeps the business audit-ready at all times, and remains emotionally steady under pressure. You won't just be managing processes; you'll be refining them and building a high-performing team across our Hickory and Asheville locations.
What You'll Own:
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and drive accountability for all office staff and caregiver teams across two locations.
Operational Excellence: Manage scheduling, caregiver engagement, and client service delivery to ensure seamless daily operations.
Ironclad Compliance: Own all compliance-related processes, including AxisCare records management, RN supervision tracking, and state/federal documentation.
Proactive Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks before they become critical issues.
Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the owner to continuously improve systems, eliminate inefficiencies, and drive profitability.

You have a strong background in operations management within home care, hospice, senior care, or a related healthcare field.
You are an expert in compliance, scheduling, and caregiver coordination.
You are tech-savvy and proficient with home care management software (AxisCare experience is a major plus).

You understand that a 24/7 operation requires a leadership backstop and are willing to serve as the final point of contact for after-hours emergencies.
