POSITION TITLE: Nursing Director, Los Angeles
REPORTS TO: Regional Vice President
LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

Nursing Director
The Nursing Director oversees the nursing staff and overall nursing operations of their healthcare facility. Their duties include evaluating and directing all nursing employees, establishing goals for the nursing department and creating and enforcing compliant healthcare policies. They often act as the point of contact between their employees and the Physicians or other healthcare team members. The Nursing Director will build training programs and operating policies that help the nursing staff meet goals that improve the overall performance of the healthcare facility. The Nursing Director is responsible for onboarding new nursing team members.
Responsibilities and Initiatives
To help NHF meet its growth goals, the Medical Coordinator will
- Provide leadership to the medical staff that consists of LVN Manager, LVN Medial Coordinators, and Medical Assistants.
- Conduct performance reviews for all medical staff, and training programs for our staff to meet our philosophy of care.
- Provide training and guidance to all Nursing staff on updates and changes to all SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures). Conduct quality improvements for all medical SOP’s.
- Oversee department budget.
- Collaborate with our Social Services department to ensure guests receive the highest quality of care.
- Maintain high standards of care for all guests.
- Manage guest data and medical records as confidential records.
- Address all guests’ grievances, maintaining patient privacy consistent with current HIPAA laws.
- Communicate with doctors, patients and family members about patient health.
- Act as point-of-contact for the organization, our hospital partners, health plans, board of directors and organization leadership for all nursing inquiries.
- Recruit, train, and onboard new nursing staff.
- Providing ongoing education classes
- Oversee department budget.
- Collaborate with our Social Services department to ensure guests receive the highest quality of care.
- Current knowledge of nursing practices, methods and tools.

Requirements
- RN (Registered Nurse) required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration required, Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid Practice Nursing license required and to be in good standing.
- BLS and First Aid certification required.
- 3-5 years of management experience in healthcare; Any capacity.
- Travel to all locations of NHF and its' partners in the Los Angeles and Ventura County areas.
- Attend meetings.
Physical Requirements
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling.
- Works in an office area under normal working conditions.
- It is subject to frequent interruptions.
- Ability to read material and use a computer, Excel and Word.
- Standing and walking.
