Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the ICU Nurse Director will lead clinical and administrative operations, maintaining alignment with overarching initiatives to achieve optimal care delivery. Reporting to the RN Director, two RN Critical Care Managers provide frontline leadership support. This role integrates operational planning, operational efficiency, and day-to-day management of critical care services.
The Nursing Director of ICU Patient Care oversees a 10-bed Surgical ICU and a 12-bed Medical ICU, both operating with a fast-paced yet supportive spirit. Highly skilled nurses, physicians, and support staff work in unison to deliver evidence-based, compassionate care. The Critical Care Director guides this vibrant team to ensure smooth operations, strong communication, and exceptional outcomes for critically ill patients.
The Nursing Director Intensive Care Services mentors and develops nursing personnel, ensuring clinical competencies, quality improvement efforts, and patient safety initiatives meet the highest standards. Operationally, this role handles budgeting, staffing, and compliance with Joint Commission measures, while collaborating with administration and medical professionals to enhance patient satisfaction scores and HCAHPS results.
