Department: 35005 Navicent Health Medical Center - Nursing: Labor and Delivery Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Variable Nursing Director Job Summary This Director position Provides direct leadership for a patient care department(s) or service line(s) and collaborates with other departments and other members of the health care team. The Director is responsible for the assigned unit(s) 24/7. Essential Job Function Provide Strategic direction, drive process improvement and change management Assures financial and outcomes accountability and technical expertise, systematic performance improvement, and appropriate strategic direction for the department(s.) Responsible for budgeting, resource utilization, human resource management functions. Develops, plans, implements, and evaluates systems that improve organizational performance. Develops, plans, implements, and evaluates systems that improve organizational performance. Education, Training, and Experience Must be a graduate of an approved school of professional nursing. BSN required. MSN preferred. Minimum of four (4) years of nursing experience. Of the four (4) years of experience required, two (2) years of experience in the area of specialty is preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of previous nursing experience in progressively responsible leadership roles. Required Licenses, Certifications Current Registered Nursing License with Georgia Board of Nursing or Current Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). Recommend certification in relevant specialty.
