Are you ready to lead with purpose and drive meaningful impact in the community? The Coppell Family YMCA is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Membership & Business Director to oversee the daily operations of our membership and childwatch departments.
In this highly visible leadership role, you'll inspire and manage a dedicated team and implement innovative member engagement strategies. You will also take on program marketing and business administration, such as billing and coding, accounts payable, and more. From recruiting and training staff to crafting innovative strategies that grow membership and elevate member satisfaction, to providing leadership for our annual campaign-this is your opportunity to lead with heart, drive impact, and champion the YMCA's mission of strengthening community.
Primary Responsibilities: Hire, train and supervise Childwatch and Membership staff Profile members and their needs; survey members, prescribe changes based on needs assessments, and implement retention strategies Implement touring, interviews, and follow up strategies with members Maintain and monitor department budgets; including forecasting and creating budgets Create and maintain monthly work schedules on staff and group exercise schedule for members. Implement a communication plan for all members and front desk equipment for optimum usage Create and maintain a member service tracking system that allows for staff to engage members into other program areas Lead staff meetings and oversee committees to strengthen program areas Market all programs inside and outside of the YMCA - oversea the marketing of all membership programs Responsible for the general maintenance of the facility, described as the Lobby/Fitness Center/ Wellness rooms/Locker rooms Responsible for a lead roll in the Coppell Family YMCA annual campaign as well as Campaign data entry and organization on the back end Manage accounts payable, and internal reconciliations Manage operations according to the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas Standards/Policies and other regulations required under these departments Requirements An undergraduate degree in a related field and/or 4 years customer/membership service experience or administrative experience, with one of those years in a supervisory role Must possess the physical, visual, and auditory capabilities to perform all job related responsibilities Must have experience in fundraising Enthusiasm, a professional personal image and the ability to work harmoniously with staff and members are imperative The Director must possess the ability to be creative and have high problem solving capabilities Bi-Lingual a plus CPR/First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogen required (training provided by the Y) Highly organized, task-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Passionate about the YMCA's mission of fostering community and inclusivity
