The medical physicist works independently to provide medical physics support for the Radiation Oncology Department. Including 3D, VMAT, SRS, SBRT and HDR treatments. Calibrate and Maintain Radiation Therapy Equipment: Perform regular calibration and coordinate maintenance of all radiation therapy equipment to ensure their optimal performance and safety. Conduct Quality Assurance Checks: Regularly perform quality assurance tests on radiation therapy equipment to ensure adherence to national safety standards. Maintain Technical Expertise: Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in radiation therapy and medical physics. Radiological Sciences/Medical Physics. Prefer three years of medical physics experience.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations
Board certification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics by the American Board of Radiology Professional License in Therapeutic Radiological Physics by the New York State Education Department.
