We are seeking an experienced, board-certified or residency-trained Internist to join as a Medical Director. In this role, you'll lead a dynamic team of specialty and emergency veterinarians, working alongside a committed leadership group. This position offers the chance to blend clinical practice with leadership duties, emphasizing clinical excellence, mentorship, and strategic development. We are looking for someone who is located in the Chattanooga area, or willing to relocate. Hospital Highlights: The hospital is a state-of-the-art facility offering advanced emergency and specialty care, equipped with cutting-edge technology, including onsite CT, digital radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy. It boasts fully equipped surgical suites and specialized equipment such as Snyder oxygen cages and transfusion tools, ensuring comprehensive patient care. The facility provides 24/7 monitoring and critical care, alongside chemotherapy and immunotherapy services, and an infectious disease isolation ward. It also houses the Cure for Cats Thyroid Treatment Center, supported by a team of highly skilled Licensed Veterinary Technicians. Key Responsibilities: Engage in clinical work 34 days per week while leading and mentoring veterinarians, conducting reviews, and developing care standards. Conduct performance reviews and develop care protocols, ensuring that staffing plans and schedules align with operational needs. Collaborate with leadership to strategize and ensure regulatory compliance, all while fostering a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on delivering exceptional care. To succeed in this role you will need: A DVM degree or equivalent and is DACVIM certified or residency trained, with proficiency in ultrasound and case management. Possess strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for medicine and teamwork. Committed to quality care and fostering a positive culture, demonstrating strong communication and professionalism, and either hold or be able to obtain an active veterinary license in Tennessee. Benefits: Base salary: $175k-$250k with 25% production, no negative accrual. $50,000 sign-on bonus with $10,000 relocation allowance.
