This full-time position offers flexibility in scheduling to ensure a work-life balance tailored to your needs. You will provide leadership and expertise in hospitalist care while fostering an environment of excellence in clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership and Administration:
* Oversee and guide the hospitalist program, including staffing, workflow, and operational efficiency. * Collaborate with hospital leadership to implement policies and protocols to enhance patient care quality. * Participate in performance evaluations, recruitment, and onboarding of hospitalist team members.
* Clinical Duties:
* Provide inpatient care to a diverse patient population, including admissions, discharges, and consultations. * Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care. * Lead daily rounds and address complex cases with a focus on delivering evidence-based treatment.
* Quality Improvement:
* Drive initiatives aimed at reducing hospital-acquired conditions, readmissions, and length of stay. * Monitor and report key performance metrics, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
* Education and Mentorship:
* Mentor and support the professional development of hospitalist team members. * Conduct regular team meetings and educational sessions to promote best practices.
Qualifications:
* Education:
* Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine .
* Licensure:
* Unrestricted Wisconsin medical license (or ability to obtain). * Current DEA certification.
* Experience:
* At least 2 years of clinical experience as a hospitalist (preferred). * Previous leadership or administrative experience is a plus.
* Skills and Attributes:
* Strong clinical acumen and decision-making skills. * Excellent communication and leadership abilities. * Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
