Westside Health Center – Denver Health Medical Center Denver Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Director to lead our adult internal medicine clinic at Westside Health Center. This leadership role offers the opportunity to directly influence clinical operations, quality improvement, and patient care at one of Denver's most respected safety-net health systems. Position Summary: The Medical Director is responsible for managing clinical operations, supervising physicians and advanced practice providers, and partnering with clinic leadership to ensure high-quality, efficient care. This role includes direct patient care and provides leadership in productivity, clinical performance, and quality initiatives. The amount of direct clinical time will depend on patient visit volume and overall budget. Key Responsibilities: Oversee operations and staff of the clinic in collaboration with other Medical Directors and Department Chairs Provide direct supervision to physicians and advanced practice providers Partner with clinic management to ensure smooth daily operations Lead and participate in quality improvement and productivity initiatives Attend monthly leadership meetings and represent the clinic at system-level discussions Deliver patient care and perform approved medical procedures in alignment with hospital privileges Qualifications: MD or DO degree and licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Colorado Board certified or board eligible Minimum of 3 years of outpatient clinical experience, with leadership responsibilities or initiatives Eligible for academic appointment at the assistant professor level or higher BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) Preferred Attributes: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive quality outcomes, and manage clinical performance Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills Experience working in a multidisciplinary ambulatory care environment Passion for improving patient care in diverse, underserved populations Denver Health values leadership that reflects our community, and we encourage applicants with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
