Dr. Manish Sapra, Executive Director for the Behavioral Health Service Line (BHSL) for Northwell Health, with the support of Dr. John Q. Young, Professor and Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and Zucker Hillside Hospital (ZHH) and SVP for Behavioral Health at Northwell, as well as Northwell Executive Leadership, invites applications and nominations for the newly established position of Medical Director, Data and Informatics, BH/Associate CMIO, Northwell Health. This new Medical Director/Associate CMIO will lead the strategy, development, and implementation of Clinical Digital Solutions to support physicians, provider practice and clinical applications within behavioral health. Additionally, the Medical Director of Data and Analytics, BH will oversee the development, integration and administration of digital solutions policies, services, and programs while ensuring high quality and cost-effective services within regulatory, quality, and professional standards which fulfill Behavioral Health Service Line strategic goals, mission, vision, and values. This leadership role will facilitate quality improvement initiatives as well as clinician and patient experience initiatives in furtherance of Behavioral Health Service Line values.

Reporting to the Executive Director of the Behavioral Health Service Line, with additional reporting responsibility to the CMIO for Northwell Health, the Medical Director, Data and Informatics, BH/Associate CMIO, Northwell will focus on the following:

Requirements and Ideal Experience

This role requires a dynamic and experienced leader with a deep understanding of multi-site, system-level data and informatics, a passion for driving innovation, and the ability to influence and inspire change across a large and complex organization. Additionally:

  1. Doctor of Medicine Degree (or equivalent) required from an accredited College of Medicine
  2. Completion of Psychiatry Residency with Board Certification required.
  3. Licensed and registered as a Physician in the State of New York, required.
  4. Minimum of three to five (3-5) years post-residency experience with demonstrated experience in informatics, digital applications and data analytics.
  5. Solid written and oral communication and skills, required.
  6. Ability to work as a “change agent.” ·
  7. Demonstrated leadership experience, required.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, specialty/subspeciality, credentials, academic accomplishments, clinical productivity, quality metrics, patient experience, site/location internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
