Overview
Join a Leading Team in Radiation Oncology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is ranked among the top 5 in NIH research funding. We are seeking a dedicated Radiation Oncologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level (non-tenure track) to join our dynamic team and serve as Medical Director of the Requard Radiation Oncology Center at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center (UM-SRMC) in Easton, MD.
Responsibilities
Expand our community practice while maintaining strong ties to academic research.
Increase patient volume, participate in clinical trials, and develop collaborative relationships with local healthcare providers.
Possibly work at downtown facilities to offer advanced radiation modalities for community patients.
Participate in the fully integrated clinical trials program between the main campus and community sites, with on-site research coordinators for enrolling patients into clinical trials.
Teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and other trainees; activities include lectures, mock oral exams, and annual review courses.

Practice Location: Requard Radiation Oncology Center at UM-SRMC in Easton, MD.
Innovative Research: Precision Radiation Oncology (PRO) program led by Dr. Phuoc Tran, focusing on bridging novel research and clinical applications.
Medical Physics Expertise: Team led by Dr. Amit Sawant, with extensive work in treatment planning and image guidance.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary range: $287,100 - $529,061 depending on experience and rank.

Qualifications
Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology.
Eligibility for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland.
A medical degree from an accredited institution (domestic or foreign equivalent).
Strong commitment to patient care, teaching, and working in a collaborative team environment.
About the Department
The University of Maryland School of Medicine offers patient care across nine locations, with a clinical program that includes 11 linear accelerators, a research linear accelerator, 5 multi-slice CT simulators, a proton therapy center, GammaPod, and treatments such as SRS/SBRT, radiopharmaceuticals, and hyperthermia therapy.
