Material Handler

Transports material to and from manufacturing departments at point of use locations. Receives, stores, and issues materials. Transports tools, equipment, and products within the organization. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Unloading materials from department manufacturing areas and placing in specified plant locations. Delivering materials to point of use locations per manufacturing flow instructions. Supporting deployment and sustainment of Kanban systems. Issuing parts to work orders according to pick lists. Receiving and storing parts from work orders and purchase orders to stock. Retrieving and transporting materials for loading and unloading to trucks and/or departments as required. Moving parts which include performing weight counts; updating material identification tags. Assisting in maintaining inventory control (e.g. performing cycle counts and physical inventory). Driving and maintaining preventative maintenance on fork lifts, vehicles, and industrial tuggers. Following all Senior policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or 2-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experiences: Knowledge of inventory control, and/or experience with work orders. Strong understanding of manufacturing workflow. Experience driving forklifts.
