The Investment Banking group at Wedbush is seeking anexperienced Managing Director to take on a key leadership role indeveloping a Restructuring Practice. When you join the InvestmentBanking group at Wedbush, you will support both your own clients, aswell as collaborate with Wedbush’s sector bankers in Consumer,Financial Institutions, Healthcare, Media and Technology. The idealcandidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and a track record ofrevenue generation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Initiate new client relationships and collaborate with sectorfocused investment bankers on their clients
Manage workflow of restructuring, bankruptcy, and advisoryengagements, while enhancing relationships with existing and newpotential clients
Lead execution of restructuring transactions, whilecollaborating with clients, stakeholders, and other professionals
Review and analyze client financial statements andprojections, financial modeling, accounting, due diligence onbalance sheet and P&Ls
Create and present deliverables to a client on project scope,findings, and results
Negotiate, document, and assist in the administration of theclosing of transactions and subsequent billing
Generate annual speaker engagements at relevant conferences
Maintain professional image of the company and ensurecompliance with applicable laws and regulations
Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned
Experience and Skills Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university; MBA, CFA, CPAor other advanced degrees/credentials desirable
15+ years of restructuring transaction experience at either anationally recognized investment banking, accounting, consultingor law firm, including some time in bankruptcy courts
Knowledge of bankruptcy law and filing rules
Deep understanding of the accounting and tax implications thatcan occur in restructuring
FINRA Series 79 required (can sponsor during probationaryperiod if obtained within 3 months); Series 24 preferred
Proven track record with increasing responsibilities of leadgeneration and transaction execution
Excellent business oriented analytical and writing skills;strong proficiency with modelling
Self-driven with ability to work independently/remotely underpressure, but possessing strong collaborative and interpersonal skills

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role hasnot been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonableestimate of the current range is $250,000. Colleagues may be eligiblefor additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on thecolleague's and the firm's performance.
