Job Description This role involves leading client relationships by providing expert accounting guidance, overseeing financial processes, and ensuring timely and accurate deliverables. It requires strong collaboration within a team environment, including mentoring, supervising staff, and improving operational efficiency. Additionally, the position includes managing audits, tax filings, budgeting, and client onboarding while identifying opportunities for service expansion and maintaining high‑quality client service.
What You’ll Do
Lead client relationships as the primary contact, offering accounting guidance and ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
Oversee financial reporting, audits, tax filings, and fee calculations, ensuring compliance with fund documents and accounting policies.
Evaluate and improve financial processes, manage client onboarding, and align expectations using best practices.
Manage billing, monitor engagement economics, supervise direct reports, and identify opportunities to expand services across IQ‑EQ segments.
Foster a collaborative team environment through mentoring, training, and active participation in meetings and departmental initiatives.

Salary dependent on experience and location ($170,000–$240,000).
Qualifications
Location in San Francisco or Los Angeles, CA metro areas.
15+ years of experience in alternative investment management (hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, or real estate), bachelor’s degree in accounting and active CPA license.
Deep expertise in fund accounting and financial reporting, ideally with in‑house experience.
Proficiency in managing multiple client engagements with strong attention to detail and multitasking.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with QuickBooks, Bill.com, Expensify, NetSuite, and Sage.
