About the Role

The Company is seeking a Tax Managing Director for its Private Client Services. This role is pivotal in leading tax and consulting engagements, with a focus on high net-worth individuals and their complex financial needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing executive-level client service, reviewing and providing feedback on a variety of tax returns, and directing communication with government agencies on complex matters. They must have a strong background in tax planning, and consulting, and be adept at identifying and addressing client needs. The role also involves expanding technical knowledge, conducting advanced tax research, and making sound recommendations. The Tax Managing Director will be a key member of the leadership team, with supervisory responsibilities and a critical role in business development and people management.

Candidates for this position should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a relevant field, at least 10 years' of experience in accounting, finance, or law, and a professional certification such as a CPA, EA, or equivalent. Expertise in the private client service area is essential, as is prior supervisory experience. The role requires a high level of initiative, strong communication, and leadership skills, and the ability to manage and develop a team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience with tax compliance and research software. They should be proactive in their professional development, have a proven track record in business development, and be committed to the success of the practice.
