About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director, Philanthropy to play a pivotal role in the organization's mission to support vulnerable children. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team in the development and execution of annual fundraising strategies, with a focus on both electoral and policy advocacy work. This includes building partnerships to secure multi-year gifts from high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and foundations. The role involves overseeing team members in peer-to-peer fundraising and ensuring a strong mix of funding from various donor levels. The Managing Director will also be a key liaison across the organization, advising on fundraising goals, and will serve on the Senior Management Team, engaging in priority projects and leading fundraising efforts. Applicants for the Managing Director, Philanthropy position at the company should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree and at least 10 years' relevant experience, with a strong background in leading diverse remote teams and fundraising for advocacy or electoral campaigns. The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team, with a proven track record in donor cultivation and grant writing. Professional proficiency in MS Office and English is essential, and experience in online advocacy fundraising and knowledge of CRM databases is preferred.
