About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director, Finance to oversee all financial activities within the organization. This executive will be responsible for the full spectrum of finance functions, including controllership, financial planning and analysis, treasury, and tax. Key duties for the Managing Director, Finance include leading the annual budget process, preparing financial forecasts, and conducting in-depth financial analyses to support business decision-making. The role also involves spearheading the development of advanced financial models, managing the organization's tax activities, and overseeing cash flow. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with an MBA and/or CPA being a plus, and at least 15 years of relevant experience, with a preference for those with a background in non-profit financial management.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining the financial processes and systems that drive the organization's financial planning and outcomes. They must have exceptional executive presence, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build strong relationships across the organization. Proficiency in financial analysis, advanced Excel, and modeling skills is essential, as is the ability to effectively manage projects and work within deadlines. The role requires a leader who can mentor and develop staff, and who is adept at presenting financial information to both executive and board-level audiences. An interest in golf and/or sports business is a plus, and the candidate should be adept at influencing key stakeholders and driving a collaborative team with a focus on solid financial acumen.
