About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and overseeing a multi-year fundraising strategy, ensuring that it is fully integrated across the organization's various pillars of work, and embedding equity throughout all efforts. Key responsibilities include supervising a small team, managing relationships with major donors and national funders, and providing strategic direction for corporate fundraising. The role also involves external representation in philanthropic forums and high-level donor briefings.

Applicants for the Managing Director of Development position at the company should have a minimum of 8-10 years' of progressive fundraising experience, with a proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure gifts. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with deep expertise in relationship-based fundraising, a national perspective on the philanthropic landscape, and a passion for equity and systems change. Essential skills include excellent writing and storytelling, strong organizational and project management abilities, and proficiency in donor CRM platforms. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, and a deep commitment to ending homelessness is essential.
