Job Description
The Marketing Claims Manager will play a pivotal role in driving growth and success by owning the strategic relationships with our Insurance industry partners. The primary focus will be on expanding our carrier partner network, negotiating contractual agreements, and ensuring smooth program implementation and ongoing collaboration. This is an opportunity to be a key and pivotal member of Unity's insurance partnerships team, driving change across the Insurance industry.
Summary The Marketing Claims Manager will be responsible for developing and managing carrier partnerships, expanding the partner network, negotiating terms, implementing programs, and driving collaboration with insurance partners to support growth and revenue opportunities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Oversight of procedures for assembling pertinent information necessary to complete submissions to appropriate markets.
Review quotes from carriers, negotiate pricing, terms and conditions with selected companies and make recommendations for proposals.
Maintain positive relationships with contracted carrier representatives through proper contact and effective communication; track contingency status and update management regarding potential payout opportunities in a timely manner.
Disseminate technical information regarding coverage, endorsements and specific carrier market appetite.
Evaluate the current insurance marketplace and various risk transfer alternatives as they arise.
Participate in ongoing seminars, designations, and other training; maintain and develop technical knowledge and skill.
Conduct quarterly meetings with commercial producers and staff to communicate market information and provide a forum to discuss marketing experiences.
Promote teamwork between production and operations personnel.
Oversee the use of excess surplus market placement and broker relationships.
Work with managers to define and execute targeted revenue objectives.
Facilitate revenue generation through continual analysis and review of performance and processes to enhance productivity.
Assist with resolving conflicts between producers, account managers and carriers as needed. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented, process-driven mindset.
Demonstrate ability to think strategically and develop innovative partnership strategies that drive business growth.
Develop and execute a comprehensive insurance carrier partnership strategy to drive growth and maximize revenue opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define partnership objectives and align them with the company's growth goals.
Identify and target potential insurance carrier partners and negotiate partnership agreements to support new embedded insurance programs.
Oversee the implementation of new carrier partnerships, ensuring seamless integration of systems, processes, and data sharing.
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess partnership performance and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct regular business reviews with partners, analyzing metrics, and providing insights and recommendations to drive growth and optimize operations.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or investment representatives.
Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures.

Education and Work Experience
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
College degree preferred.
Knowledge of the Insurance industry and emerging trends preferred.
Must obtain and maintain applicable licensing.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
10 or more years in management consulting and/or strategic partnerships, preferably within the insurance or technology industry.
Technical/Functional Competencies
Proficient in PC operating systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of and experience with Insurance Carrier websites.
Knowledge of and experience with Comparative rater websites.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Process and detail oriented.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business priorities.
Ability to work under pressure.
Organizational and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
