You can also apply directly at their website The Managing Director of Campus Operations is responsible for the overall administration of the college’s facilities, grounds, housekeeping, conferences and special events, children’s center, and mail services. Responsibilities include directing operations in each department including long-term planning and fiscal management. Position works collaboratively with other campus offices/departments/divisions, and key campus staff and faculty.
Essential Functions:
Facilities/Grounds Management: Provides leadership and general oversight for projects, landscaping/grounds, trades, and housekeeping. Directs the design and delivery of services relating to facility planning, maintenance, renovation, repair, and new construction. Directs landscaping/grounds planning and maintenance, as well as, housekeeping/custodial services in residence halls, academic and administrative buildings.
Conferences and Special Events: Provides leadership and general oversight for all aspects of the conference and event services function, including utilization of spaces on campus, program support and set-up activities. Works with department management to ensure quality customer service through established operating standards and procedures which are reviewed and updated as needed.
Mail Services: Provides leadership and general oversight to the campus mail services. Oversees the operation of the campus mail services working with staff to ensure proper handling of all incoming and outgoing mail including parcel services such as FedEx and UPS.
Children’s Center: Provides leadership and general oversight to the on-campus daycare/kindergarten center. Works collaboratively with the center’s director to ensure continuation of state licensure/certification. Provides guidance on operational and budgeting issues.
Provides leadership and coordination in the development of strategic and long-range goals that support the college’s mission, including sustainability initiatives, by setting clear objectives and priorities, communicating and directing departmental efforts, and collaborating with department directors to develop fiscally responsible budgets. Works in partnership with the Vice President for Finance and Administration to ensure alignment of departmental objectives with long-term campus facilities and auxiliary services strategies.
Creates and sustains a collaborative, inclusive and high-performance work environment that supports individual growth and team effectiveness. Engages with campus partners, as appropriate, to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with institutional priorities. Provides leadership in all aspects of personnel management including setting clear performance expectations, allocating work, facilitating training and coaching, conducting performance evaluations, providing issue resolution support including administering corrective actions when necessary.
Support the college’s sustainability initiatives in partnership with the College Farm and the Center for Sustainability Education by encouraging the implementation of environmentally responsible practices across campus operations. Ensure that campus operations not only support a high-quality learning environment but also contribute meaningfully to the college’s commitment to environmental stewardship. Valid PA Driver’s License A valid Driver's Licence is required. Employees (operators) must have been in possession of a valid operator’s license for not less than three (3) years and the license must have been in good standing without interruption during that time period. Yes Successful candidate will also be required to complete ACT 153 Clearance No This position is considered "Emergency Staff."
