About the Role

The Company is seeking a Tax Managing Director to lead its UK M&A tax offering. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading M&A tax projects, performing tax due diligence reviews, tax structuring, and various pre- and post-deal services. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of taxation in the context of strategic PE and corporate transactions. The Managing Director will also be involved in business development activities, managing client relationships, and will be expected to work with the partner in strategic targeting. Additionally, the role involves acting as a people manager, including the delegation of tasks and the training and career development of team members.

Applicants for the Tax Managing Director position should have a strong expertise in tax due diligence, structuring, and SPA review, with a preference for experience with private equity clients. The role demands excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under deadlines and to multitask. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, with a preference for holding an accounting or tax professional certification, and at least ten years' of M&A tax experience, ideally from a Big 4 or next tier UK accounting firm. Leadership skills, the ability to collaborate with diverse teams, and a commitment to professional development and integrity are also essential.
