About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director, MBS Portfolio Manager to lead the Agency Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) sector within its Chief Investment Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the investment approach based on strong analytics and a deep understanding of investor dynamics, as well as market and regulatory developments affecting the MBS market. This role involves engaging with MBS dealers, partnering with portfolio analytics and modeling teams, and monitoring risk metrics and portfolio performance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years' experience in fixed-income portfolio management, with a focus on agency MBS, and a Master's or higher degree in finance, economics, engineering, or related fields.

Key responsibilities for this position include leading the team that manages the agency MBS portion of the investment portfolio, monitoring macro-economic and policy developments relevant to fixed-income markets, and collaborating with other senior PMs on investment strategy. The role also requires the candidate to mentor junior talent and manage the agency MBS portfolio team with a focus on talent development. The candidate should have a strong knowledge of ALM practices in a banking environment, an understanding of regulatory frameworks, and excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills. The position demands a professional with the ability to interpret market trends and translate them into actionable strategies, and who is adept at managing various projects and analytics to meet the group's goals and directives.
