Job Title: Managing Director, Investment Banking - TMT

Location: New York & San Francisco Overview: One of our clients is seeking an experienced and highly driven Investment Banking Director to lead and expand their TMT coverage across M&A and capital markets transactions. This is a strategic leadership role suited to a senior banker with deep sector expertise, strong client relationships, and a track record of executing complex deals across the technology, media, and/or telecom verticals. Key Responsibilities: Originate and lead execution of M&A, equity, and debt transactions within the TMT sector Build and maintain senior-level client relationships with corporates, private equity, and venture capital firms Drive business development efforts and develop strategic insights and thought leadership for the TMT space Lead deal teams across all phases of transaction execution – including due diligence, financial modeling, negotiation, and closing Mentor and develop junior bankers (VPs, Associates, Analysts), fostering a high-performing culture Contribute to strategic planning around industry coverage, pitch materials, and firm positioning in the TMT market Qualifications: 10+ years of investment banking experience, with significant TMT deal exposure Proven ability to originate and execute complex M&A and financing transactions Established network of relationships across TMT corporates and financial sponsors Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills Expertise in financial analysis, valuation methodologies, and deal structuring MBA from a top-tier program or equivalent professional experience preferred What’s on Offer: A high-impact leadership role with strong visibility and autonomy Competitive compensation and performance-based bonus structure Entrepreneurial and collaborative culture with a focus on sector excellence Opportunity to work with high-growth and established clients across disruptive technology and digital sectors
