Role:The Managing Director reports to the COO and fosters a culture of accountability for hotel general managers and their teams to lead people, manage process through the Gold Key operating plan platform.

- Develop a culture that promotes accountability, effective communications, service excellence, teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and associate satisfaction.
- Hire, retain and mentor an E.C. team to establish successful operation of both the Food & Beverage and Room Division.
- Ensure responsible financial management and work with Director of Finance to develop budgets, forecast performance and deliver results.
- Maintain and protect the property through inspections, QA standards and corrective action.
- Adhere to all Human Resource practices and policies.
- Drive guest satisfaction by maintaining service quality standards.
- Communicate proactively with COO and provide regular updates.
- Assess compliance and solve operational shortcomings.
- Collaborate with corporate support disciplines to maximize performance.
- Critically analyze metrics and initiate corrective action.
- Set annual sales quotas and monitor performance with Sales & Marketing.
- Drive topline results with Sales & Marketing and agency for restaurant marketing, group sales and gap fulfillment.
- Ensure SSI documented and maintain for each asset.
- Partner with Director of Engineering to develop and execute Reserve for Replacement plans.
- Perform Emergency Response duties as required.
- Ensure proper MOD coverage at each property.
- Five plus years’ experience as a General Manager in a full-service branded Upper or Upper Upscale hotel.
- Experience managing a convention hotel with more than 35,000 square feet of meeting space.
- Prior career progression through Food & Beverage preferred.
- Willing to relocate and be part of the community.
