About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Managing Director for Government Business Development and Capture. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving sales, with a primary focus on developing and capturing business within the Federal government. This pivotal role involves crafting and aligning sales plans with the company's goals, managing a team of business development professionals, and working closely with Program Managers and Client Account Leads to explore new growth opportunities. Key responsibilities include defining and implementing the business unit's sales approach, setting targets, and developing annual plans to achieve growth. The role also requires the management of a team of Business Development Directors, participation in Bid/No Bid discussions, and the cultivation of relationships within the government sector to identify and qualify business opportunities.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field, with an MBA being a plus. A minimum of 15 years of successful government capture, business development, and marketing experience is essential, along with a demonstrated background in an SBA Tribal 8(a) business environment. The ideal candidate will possess advanced sales, capture, and marketing skills, and have a proven track record in selling services and products to government buyers. Proficiency in federal market dynamics, contracting approaches, and tools such as GovWinIQ, Bloomberg, and SAM is required. The role demands excellent business acumen, organizational skills, and the ability to forge new relationships. A current or former security clearance, or the ability to obtain one, is also necessary. The candidate should be a self-starter, capable of working both independently and as part of a team, and be willing to travel for short-term assignments.
