The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Finance and Administration in the Department of Medicine. This pivotal role is the chief financial and strategic leader for a diverse and high-impact research enterprise, overseeing a substantial annual funding portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding strategic growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering innovation at all levels. Key responsibilities include leading the financial strategy, managing a complex research portfolio, and providing oversight of a team of financial professionals. The role also involves designing and implementing financial and operational policies, collaborating with department leadership to align financial planning with academic goals, and building forecasting models to support long-term growth.

Applicants must have a Master’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field, with at least 10 years' experience in grants accounting, research finance, and administration, and a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within an academic medical center. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in federal grants management and clinical trial finance, deep knowledge of federal grant regulations, and advanced financial modeling and analytical skills. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities are essential, as is the capacity to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams. The role requires a strategic thinker who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy, particularly in financial software and collaborative IT tools.
