About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Data and AI with a strong background in data, AI, and digital transformation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and driving a forward-looking data, analytics, and AI strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and long-term outcomes. This role requires a visionary leader who can guide the integration of AI capabilities, set a bold vision rooted in innovation and cultural understanding, and ensure the ethical use of AI. The Managing Director will lead a multi-disciplinary team, foster a collaborative culture, and partner with leadership to prioritize AI/ML initiatives that deliver business value. Essential responsibilities include strategic leadership, data and AI management, innovation, and serving as a change champion.

Applicants must have a proven track record of at least 10 years in data, AI, or digital transformation, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field is required, with a Master's degree or higher preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in data architecture, engineering, and governance, as well as advanced analytics and modeling concepts. Experience in AI/ML and their practical applications, particularly in a Cloud environment, is essential. The role also demands excellent communication skills, the ability to build consensus, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Cultural competency, particularly in relation to Native Hawaiian culture and experience with Indigenous or marginalized communities, is a strong asset.
