The Opportunity: We are seeking a dynamic Managing Director to launch, scale, and oversee day-to-day operations of the Center of Excellence (COE) for Ancillary Benefits Marketing. This individual will play a critical role in building the infrastructure, leading the team, managing carrier partnerships, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to Hylant teams nationwide. The ideal candidate brings a combination of operational rigor, benefits marketing acumen, team leadership, and industry expertise in general agency or employee benefits environments. In This Role You Will Execute On: Launch & Operationalize the COE: Drive the successful stand-up of the COE including workflows, systems, staffing, and carrier coordination. Team Leadership: Hire, coach, and lead a high-performing team of ancillary benefit specialists and marketers. Process & Performance Management: Establish consistent processes, KPIs, and reporting structures to ensure operational excellence and high service levels. Carrier & Vendor Relationships: Maintain and strengthen relationships with insurance carriers and vendors to ensure competitive positioning and support. Collaboration & Service Delivery: Serve as a trusted internal partner to producers, account teams, and market leadership across all Hylant regions. Technology & Efficiency: Leverage technology platforms to automate tasks, track submissions, and enhance scalability. Compliance & Licensing Oversight: Ensure proper licensure and regulatory adherence for all COE activity and team members. Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate and refine the COE’s performance, offerings, and internal engagement strategies. In This Role You Will Need: 8+ years of experience in insurance operations, employee benefits, or general agency/TPA environments, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Deep understanding of ancillary benefits products (dental, vision, life, disability, worksite, etc.). Proven ability to lead operational teams and manage cross-functional initiatives. Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills. Experience implementing process improvements and using data to drive decisions. Knowledge of licensing, compliance, and GA carrier contracting is strongly preferred. Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and a collaborative work style.
