The Managing Clinic Director of Rehabilitation Services is responsible for leadership and clinical oversight of all rehabilitation services at Bluegrass Orthopaedics, including physical and occupational therapy. This role supervises director-level staff overseeing department staff, manages administrative functions such as budgeting, program development, and performance improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Vice President of Physical Therapy at Growth Orthopedics. The position also maintains a patient caseload to provide direct care and support clinical excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Direct Patient Care:
Conducts screening of patients regularly to determine the need for additional intervention/treatment or modifications.
Evaluates patients to gather data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
Performs specialized evaluations as indicated.
Records evaluation data according to PT standards and clinic policy.
Interprets data, formulates goals and treatment plans, and involves patients, families, and team members.
Provides physical therapy services following professional guidelines and clinic policies.
Monitors patient responses and modifies treatments to meet goals.
Reviews effectiveness of therapy programs using predetermined criteria.
Adapts treatments to individual patient needs.
Communicates evaluation findings to patients, families, and providers.
Develops home programs to maintain progress.
Documents assessments, treatments, follow-ups, and discharges.
Records billable treatment times and patient involvement accurately.
Completes progress notes and reassessments timely.
Provides or recommends adaptive devices and trains patients and staff in their use.
Ensures compliance with infection control, OSHA, and CMS standards.
Participates in training and promotes patient rights.
Administrative Duties:
Provides executive leadership for rehabilitation departments.
Supervises and evaluates staff, ensuring high performance.
Ensures compliance with infection control policies and safety regulations.
Develops and manages budgets, monitors expenditures.
Oversees staffing, hiring, onboarding, and scheduling.
Coordinates meetings, training, and evaluations.
Implements operational policies supporting efficiency and compliance.
Collaborates on organizational initiatives and quality improvement.
Leads change management and communication strategies.
Monitors performance metrics and drives improvements.
Ensures documentation and reporting meet standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in physical therapy, with current state licensure.
Unencumbered license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
Proven management experience in teams and program operations.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
