English Valley Nursing Care Center - English Valley Nursing Care Center (EVNCC) is looking for a full-time Maintenance Director to join our team. EVNCC is a 44 bed Skilled nursing facility which has an attached assisted living (Valley View Assisted Living). Valley View has 12 apartments.
The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, ensuring that all systems, equipment, and facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
Maintain records of maintenance work, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal building safety and health codes.
Oversee and participate in snow removal (sidewalks), landscaping, and general grounds upkeep.
Collaborate with the leadership team to support resident comfort and safety.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance.
Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including being on-call for emergencies.
