Introduction We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Maintenance and Housekeeping Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills and a strong background in facility management. As the Maintenance Director, you will oversee all maintenance and housekeeping operations, ensuring the efficiency and safety of our facilities. Job Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy to ensure optimal performance of all facilities. * Oversee the maintenance and housekeeping team, providing leadership, training, and development opportunities. * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. * Coordinate and manage all maintenance activities, including scheduling and resource allocation. * Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any maintenance needs. * Manage the maintenance budget and optimize costs without compromising quality. * Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals and activities. * Stay updated on the latest maintenance technologies and implement them to improve operations. * Prepare reports and documentation on maintenance activities and outcomes.
Ensure work orders are completed within 48 hours (non-emergency). Be available for emergencies in the building (after-hour calls included). Tracking expenses for the department and staying within the monthly budget.
Job Requirements for Maintenance Director
* Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field. * Must have experience working with Seniors in an Assisted Living environment. * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance management or a similar role. * Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team of maintenance and housekeeping professionals. * Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance practices. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. * Experience with maintenance management software and systems. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to develop and manage budgets effectively. * Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards. * Experience in developing and implementing maintenance policies and procedures. * Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. * Willingness to be on-call for emergency maintenance situations. * Certification in maintenance management or facility management (preferred).
