Are you a proactive leader with a passion for operational excellence? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Maintenance to join our growing team.
In this critical role, you will oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all physical aspects of our facility, ensuring optimal performance of electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, and mechanical systems, as well as the overall maintenance of equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds.
 
Key Responsibilities for the Director of Maintenance:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes, SDS, OSHA, EPA, CMS regulations, and fire codes
Lead and manage maintenance technicians and contractors to complete work orders, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs efficiently
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and expenditures
Identify and implement process improvements for maintenance procedures and equipment
Develop and manage maintenance budgets, including capital expenditures and cost-saving initiatives
Coordinate engineering contractors and vendors, ensuring insurance and licenses remain current
Conduct regular inspections of life safety systems such as fire extinguishers, alarms, and sprinklers
Oversee repairs and maintenance in resident rooms and common areas, including refurbishment for move-ins
Ensure exterior upkeep, including landscaping and waste management
Maintain inventory control for general supplies, parts, and equipment needed for repairs and maintenance
Director of Maintenance Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in Environmental Services, Plant Operations, or Maintenance within a healthcare facility
Strong technical knowledge of equipment and infrastructure maintenance
Deep understanding of OSHA, NFPA, and EPA regulations applicable to nursing care facilities
Extensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building systems maintenance
Proven ability to identify issues and develop maintenance schedules for building systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Thorough knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards
