LVN Assistant Director of Nursing (SNF) ADON (Healthcare) Assists the DON in planning, developing, and supervising the activities of the nursing staff. Helps develop and implement nursing services, objectives, policies, and procedures. Collaborates with the DON to recruit, hire, and train nursing staff. Supports employee appraisals and resolves issues including disciplinary actions. Acts as a backup for the DON, RN, and LVN staff. May provide direct resident care as needed. Oversees clinical operations, including daily rounds and monitoring resident conditions. Ensures resident safety and respectful treatment. Serves as a liaison between residents, families, and physicians. Attends staff meetings and conducts them in the DON's absence. Provides reports and recommendations concerning nursing services operations. Assists in designing, implementing, and evaluating nursing systems to ensure consistent care delivery and uphold resident rights. Participates in ongoing staff training and maintains confidentiality regarding residents and staff. Must stay informed of regulatory changes and communicate them appropriately. Supervises and manages nursing staff overall. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. Good standing with the State Board of Nursing; maintains continuing education/licensing requirements. 3-5 years of nurse management experience, preferably in long-term care.
Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional and regulatory documents. Excellent report writing and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office; PCC experience preferred. Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
Physical & Work Environment Requires occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Prolonged desk work. Regular sitting, standing, walking, and talking. Use of office equipment. Travel may be required.
