We are seeking a passionate and skilled Part-Time Lighting Director to enhance our worship experiences through creative and effective lighting design. Position Overview: The Part-Time Lighting Director will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the lighting for our worship services, events, and special events. This individual will work closely with the worship team and other technical staff to create an engaging and inspiring atmosphere that complements our ministry’s vision. Key Responsibilities: Design and execute lighting setups for weekly services, special events, and seasonal celebrations. - Operate and maintain all lighting equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety. Collaborate with the worship team to develop lighting cues that enhance the overall Worship experience. - Train and supervise volunteers in lighting operation and safety procedures. - Develop and implement lighting plans that align with the church’s mission and vision. Attend weekly rehearsals and services to ensure seamless integration of lighting with Worship activities. Stay current with lighting technology and trends, making recommendations for Improvements as needed. Reports: Immediate Supervisor - Production Director , but under the overall direction of the Worship Pastor. Qualifications: Previous experience as a lighting technician or designer, preferably in a church or live event setting. Proficient in lighting control systems and equipment (e.g., Vista Chroma DMX controllers, LED fixtures). - Strong understanding of lighting design principles and techniques. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, faith-based environment. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for services and events. Time Commitment: - hours per week ($-/hr), based on experience STANDARD HOURS Rehearsals: Thursdays @ 4-9pm (earlier afternoon if needed) Programming during the week 2-3 Services: Sundays @ 7:-:pm Production Meeting: 1 hour TBD NON-STANDARD HOURS As needed: Equipment maintenance Internal and External events Seasonal Productions What We Offer: - A supportive and welcoming church community.
