Lead Director, Digital Product
Are you passionate about transforming healthcare for vulnerable populations through digital innovation? Our Pharmacy and Consumer Wellness organization is seeking a Lead Director, Digital Product to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of multiple valustreams across our Healthcare Delivery portfolio. Reporting to the Executive Director, Digital Health Products, you will spearhead the development of best-in-class digital experiences for a diverse group of users across our secure website and mobile app. This is a high-impact leadership role, collaborating closely with Healthcare business teams, technology, clinical providers, as well as other digital product leaders. You\'ll be responsible for enabling product strategies for a digital-first, clinically integrated experience.
Product Strategy & Execution
- Define, own, and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for digital healthcare capabilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and member needs.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of digital features and experiences, focusing on accessibility, usability, and the needs of a diverse population.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and state-specific requirements.
- Develop and execute onboarding strategies to transition users from legacy platforms to new digital experiences.
- Champion investment cases and business cases to secure resources and support for digital initiatives.
Portfolio Strategy & Execution Management
- Support the development and optimization of multiple value streams within the Digital Health product portfolio.
- Partner with other product leaders to ensure product management resources can flex between strategic and executional deliverables.
Problem Identification & Solutioning
- Develop stakeholder relationships to determine pain points.
- Track the broader healthcare industry and key trends in digital services.
- Break down concerns into problem statements, develop success criteria, KPIs, and work cross-functionally to assess potential solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Healthcare Delivery business leaders, technology, clinical, design, engineering, and analytics to deliver integrated solutions.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and client success organizations on product roadmaps, go-to-market strategies, new product launches, and enhancements.
- Identify new business opportunities through market research, state engagement, and understanding of strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with delivery teams, third-party partners, and pilot programs to address unique requirements and drive innovation.
Executive Communication
- Communicate complex concepts, both written and verbally, to influence within a department, across multiple teams, and entire lines of business.
- Facilitate conversations across product lines to review priorities, ensure alignment with annual plans, and ultimately support company strategy and executive leadership across departments on key issues.
Resourcing & Prioritization
- Work closely with Engineering, UX, clinical, operations, and other cross-functional colleagues to address capacity constraints.
- Support / enable resource allocation to the best value for effort paradigm.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Translate customer and business needs into actionable product strategies and quantifiable OKRs.
- Define and track product metrics to evaluate progress and inform decision-making.
- Ensure all initiatives are optimized for end users and deliver measurable value.
Leadership & Team Development
- Coach, influence, and inspire high-performing, agile product teams; foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Establish clear team norms, provide actionable feedback, and support career development through stretch goals and visibility opportunities.
- Promote a customer-centric culture where teams proactively monitor product health and drive toward a shared north star vision.
Healthcare-Specific Leadership
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the unique needs, challenges, and lived experiences of patients / caregivers / caregivees including barriers related to technology access, health literacy, language, and social determinants of health.
- Champion the design and delivery of digital experiences that are culturally sensitive, accessible, and tailored to the diverse Medicaid population.
- Ensure all digital solutions are developed and maintained in strict adherence to regulations, privacy requirements (such as HIPAA), and evolving compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software product management, successfully delivering large-scale, consumer-facing products.
- 8+ years of experience managing complex projects / programs, delivering value within tight timelines.
- 8+ years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, project / program management, or related fields, with a proven track record in agile product development.
- 8+ years experience demonstrating ability to drive cross-functional alignment in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- 8+ years experience driving data-driven decision-making and quantitative analysis expertise.
- 8+ years demonstrating exceptional negotiation, organizational, analytical, and people leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years demonstrated experience with deep understanding of Direct to Consumer Health Care services, the regulatory landscape, state-by-state program nuances, and the populations it serves.
- 8+ years experience working with legal, privacy, and other regulatory standards across pharmacy, managed care organizations, and health care delivery platforms.
- General understanding of programming and computer science concepts.
Education
- Master\'s degree required; equivalent work experience considered.
- MBA preferred, not required
Pay Range & Benefits
The typical pay range for this role is : $144,200.00 - $288,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company\'s equity award program.
