Under the supervision of the Chief of Medicine, the Medical Director will serve as an enterprise leader. The primary responsibilities include providing leadership to healthcare center staff to improve healthcare plan quality through ongoing measurement and monitoring of operations. The role requires the ability to lead in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, results-oriented culture within a rapidly growing organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities for the Healthcare Centers:
Maintain standards for productivity with an average minimum of 14 patients per day; coordinate scheduling to compensate for no-show rates; review charts and perform peer reviews in accordance with approved procedures.
Ensure adequate provider staffing and coordinate vacation schedules to maintain coverage; manage day-to-day operations for facilities and satellite locations; oversee administrative staff schedules.
Implement an integrated, consistent business model strategy; manage the healthcare center budget, financial reporting, and billing; ensure compliance with DOH, OSHA, HCFA, HIPAA, and applicable regulations; develop partnerships with external organizations.
Meet annual organizational goals and revenue targets; conduct market research and analyses to adapt the business model to the evolving healthcare landscape.
Participate in domestic expansion, business development, and vendor management; provide staff counseling and problem solving to maintain productivity.
Supervise overall clinic administration; report to Regional Medical Director on related issues.
Lead regular leadership evaluations and participate in leadership development activities as recommended.
Limit patient care time to allow for responsibilities; obtain authorization from the Chief of Medicine for additional time.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise staff in accordance with policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning, evaluating, rewarding, disciplining, and resolving problems.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: Doctorate degree (M.D., Ph.D., R.Ph.) or equivalent; or more than 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Medical Board License from the State of Florida (without restrictions); Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice; AAHIVM Certification preferred; Valid DEA license.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; effective written and verbal communication; ability to present information to management and boards.
Mathematical Skills: Proficiency with basic mathematical concepts and applying fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply logical and analytical thinking to problems and variables.
Compensation : Lucrative executive package, including relocation and other perks based on qualifications. Responsibilities include on-time clinic starts, maintaining productivity standards, on-call coverage, chart reviews and peer reviews, supervising mid-level providers, and coordinating patient care with nursing and front office staff.
