About the Role

The Company is in search of an Independent Director to join its Board of Directors. The successful candidate will be a key player in the organization's strategic oversight, actively participating in board discussions and governance processes to help shape and monitor the implementation of strategic priorities. This role requires a strong commitment to effective governance, the ability to uphold fiduciary responsibilities, and a dedication to contributing to policy development that is in line with the organization's mission and values. The Independent Director will also be expected to maintain independence from the organization, avoiding any conflicts of interest that could compromise objective judgment.

Applicants for the Independent Director position should have a demonstrated interest in sports governance, nonprofit leadership, or mission-driven organizations. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of professional experience or networks in areas such as media, marketing, fundraising, technology, collegiate athletics, finance, or risk management, and will be motivated to engage deeply in the mission and long-term growth of the organization. Prior board or governance experience is strongly preferred, and the candidate must be willing to invest time in understanding the organization's structure, programs, and strategic priorities. The role is particularly suited to individuals who can provide independent perspective, governance experience, and strategic insight, and who are committed to active engagement in board discussions and decision-making.
