We are seeking a strategic and values-driven IHS Program Director to lead our In-Home Support Services (IHS) department. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing program operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting both clients and staff with integrity and compassion.
The IHS Program Director serves as a critical point of communication between the agency, caregivers, clients, case managers, and various regulatory officials. This individual must be composed, solution-oriented, and deeply knowledgeable about homecare operations and Medicaid requirements. We value management that can lead with empathy while maintaining accountability, enforcing standards, and responding decisively to urgent or escalated concerns.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operations of IHS department
Supervise and support multidisciplinary team of administrative and field staff
Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures in alignment with Medicaid and other regulations
Department lead for audits, inspections, regulatory communication, and resolution of complex client or staff concerns
Oversee staff performance management with HR support (including coaching, corrective action, and disciplinary process)
Build and maintain relationships with clients, families, referral sources, case managers, and community partners
Monitor program performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Stay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices in long-term care
Qualifications
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or related field
Minimum 3-5 years leadership experience in homecare/health, healthcare, or related services
In-depth knowledge of Medicaid and IHS regulations
Proven experience in team leadership, program development, and operational management
Strong communication , follow-through, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to balance compassion with accountability in a leadership capacity
Comfortable making high-stakes decisions and serving as point of escalation
