Robert Half is currently working with a growth-focused financial services company in Hartford, CT, to hire a Human Resources Director. This role will serve as a key partner to the management team- HQ in Hartford and multiple locations nationwide, providing leadership across all HR functions within a dynamic, collaborative organization with multiple lines of business.
Location: Hybrid – Hartford, CT (1 day remote)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage core HR functions including HR operations, talent management, employee relations, compensation program design, and team development.
- Managing and directing the HR operations team on direction of programs and policy implementation
- Address and manage employee relations effectively, fostering a collaborative and engaging work environment.
- Lead key compensation initiatives, including designing and managing programs.
- Lead a team of HR professionals in generalist, operations, and talent management functions
- Partner with the CHRO on strategic initiatives, employee engagement, and succession planning.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of well-rounded HR experience, including compensation management and employee relations.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills—high energy, team-focused, collaborative, and growth-oriented.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelors Degree in related field or HR certifications

Most be local to Hartford County
• 8+ years of experience in human resources, with progressive leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of HR administration processes and systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage compensation and benefits programs effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees at all levels.
• Solid understanding of labor laws and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in HR analytics and data-driven decision-making.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; OR HR Certifications
