StevenDouglas is working exclusively with a client in the Tampa area looking for an HR Director for their growing organization. This role will oversee the strategic direction and day to day execution of human resources functions across multiple sites in various states. Your role will be crucial in building and enhancing the HR infrastructure, partnering with individual sites, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, managing payroll, developing and updating HR policies and procedures, and leading HR integration efforts for acquisitions. Your leadership will drive organizational effectiveness, foster a positive work environment, and support the company's mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Infrastructure Development:
Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive HR systems and to support organizational goals and achieve alignment across all locations.
Collaborate with senior leadership to define HR strategies that support business objectives.
Compliance Management:
Ensure continued adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across all operating states.
Stay updated on changes in employment law and implement necessary adjustments.
Employee Handbook and Policy Development:
Maintain the employee handbook to reflect current policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Communicate handbook and policy updates to employees effectively.
Multi-State Operations:
Manage HR operations and consistent application of HR policies across multiple sites in different states.
Provide guidance and support to local managers.
Acquisition Integration:
Lead HR integration reviews for acquisitions.
Develop and execute integration plans to harmonize HR practices, policies, and culture post-acquisition.
Manage transition-related communication and support for affected employees.
Strategic Leadership:
Act as a strategic partner to senior management, providing insights and recommendations on HR-related matters.
Develop and implement HR metrics and analytics to track and improve HR performance and effectiveness.
Recruiting, Relations, and Development:
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, retention, and talent development strategies to build a strong, engaged workforce.
Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, create effective job descriptions, and streamline hiring processes.
Design, implement, and manage an onboarding program to ensure new hires are effectively integrated to achieve robust new hire engagement and retention.
Address and resolve complex employee relations issues and conflicts.
Support employee development programs and succession planning initiatives.
Qualifications:
Results-driven manager with record of hands-on approach to achieve results.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic, team environment.
In-depth knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and compliance requirements in the Health Care industry.
Experience with multi-state HR management.
Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
