Job Description
House Director position
Are you someone who thrives in a nurturing environment, enjoys building meaningful relationships, and finds joy in helping young women feel at home during their college years? If so, we'd love to meet you!
We're seeking a kind, dependable, and community-oriented House Director to serve as the heart of our sorority home, the Kappa Delta House at the University of Tulsa. This is a part-time role with a unique perk: you'll live on-site in a private residence within the sorority house, becoming a trusted presence in the day-to-day lives of our college-student members.
Why You'll Love This Role
- A Home to Call Your Own: Live in a private suite within a beautifully maintained sorority house on or near the University of Tulsa (TU) campus.
- Flexible Schedule: With roughly 15 hours of responsibilities per week, you'll have time for your own interests, hobbies, or part-time work.
- A Close-Knit Community: Join a network of smart, driven, and caring young women. You'll be a mentor, sounding board, and occasional cookie baker.
- Peace of Mind: Enjoy a secure, supportive living environment with the respect and appreciation of a sisterhood that values your presence.
What You'll Do...
- Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the sorority house.
- Support the health, safety, and well-being of residents by being a calm and attentive presence.
- Coordinate with maintenance, cleaning, and vendors to help keep the house running smoothly.
- Serve as a liaison between house residents and alumni or university officials when needed.
- Occasionally attend meals, chapter events, or house meetings as a friendly, supportive face.
- Be available during emergencies or after-hours situations as needed.
You're a Great Fit If You...
- Enjoy the idea of mentoring young people as they transition into adulthood.
- Are friendly, approachable, and enjoy working with college-aged students.
- Are organized, proactive, and able to keep up with light administrative or household coordination tasks.
- Are looking for a part-time role with the benefit of included, on-campus housing.
- Respect the values and traditions of sorority life while offering gentle guidance when needed.
- Have a good sense of humor and a kind heart.
While all are welcome to apply, graduate students already studying at the University of Tulsa would be a great fit.
