Key Responsibilities Provide medical oversight of the hospice program, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and accrediting body requirements. Certify terminal illness eligibility for patients referred to hospice in accordance with regulatory compliance. Participate in interdisciplinary group (IDG) meetings, collaborating with nurses, social workers, chaplains, CNAs, and volunteers to establish and review individualized patient plans of care, on a pre-established and regular cadence. Provide direct consultation, as needed, regarding pain and symptom management, palliative treatment options, and coordination of care with attending physicians. Ensure availability for medical consults to the hospice team, patients, and families within reasonable and established timeframes, consistent with ACHC and Medicare requirements. Collaborate with the Hospice admin and/or Director of Nursing to guide quality improvement and performance initiatives, promoting best practices in hospice and palliative medicine.
Qualifications MD/DO licensed in Oregon (unrestricted) Hospice, palliative care, geriatrics, or related experience preferred Knowledge of hospice regulations and standards preferred Board certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine a plus, but not required Compassionate leader with strong communication skills

Pay Expectations: Per Diem/PRN + Stipend pay at initial census; PT/FT salary for growing census tiers
