Hospice Area Sales Director

Overview The Area Director of Sales, Hospice will lead and manage a high-performing team of sales professionals focused on promoting Hospice services within the healthcare community. This role provides strategic direction, mentorship, and oversight while actively engaging in key account relationships, partnerships, and ACO initiatives. Youll collaborate closely with your Clinical Operations counterpart to execute a business plan that exceeds company targets and budget expectations.
Territory: Birmingham, AL to Nashville, TN Aveanna Hospice locations
Travel Requirement: Up to 75%
Responsibilities Guide Sales Representatives in territory planning, business development, and goal achievement
Conduct ride-alongs to coach and mentor team members in the field
Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts and decision-makers
Partner with area and branch operations leaders to align and execute strategic plans
Identify new business opportunities and develop actionable strategies
Leverage company tools and systems to manage performance and accountability
Champion the mission and vision of the organization
Consistently exceed monthly qualified admission targets
Utilize EMR and CRM platforms to manage customer relationships
Communicate effectively with your team and leadership
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulations

Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in Healthcare Sales, Marketing, or Business Development
Minimum 2 years in a Sales Management role
Strong understanding of the Post-Acute Healthcare continuum
Bachelors degree required
Existing relationships in the territory are highly preferred
Knowledge of Hospice standards of practice
Valid drivers license and current auto insurance
Ability to travel across multiple sites and attend required meetings
Demonstrated strategic thinking and advanced sales skills
