Director of Health Information Management (HIM) Operations Join a leading healthcare organization as our HIM Operations Director, where you'll lead and transform our health information management systems at our 474-bed facility. Position Overview Reporting to the Regional HIM Director, you'll oversee facility-based HIM operations while driving technological innovation and maintaining exceptional standards in health information management. This role is critical in managing service center operations, workflow optimization, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage facility-based HIM operations, including staff supervision, workflow optimization, and process improvement initiatives Oversee implementation and management of advanced HIM technologies, including Horizon Patient Folder (HPF) and Computer Assisted Coding (CAC) systems Direct unbilled management processes and collaborate with facility leadership to optimize revenue cycle operations Ensure compliance with healthcare information regulations and maintain quality standards Manage release of information processes, record storage, and destruction protocols Lead cross-functional teams and maintain effective communication with stakeholders across the organization Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field RHIA or RHIT certification Minimum 3 years of HIM Director experience in a large hospital setting Proven leadership experience in healthcare information systems Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and coding systems Why Join Us?
