About the Role State Street Markets (“SSM”) is seeking a Managing Director (“MD”) to join the SSM Risk and FRM team in Boston. The team manages Credit, Market, and Model Risk as the First Line of Defense across SSM’s business units, including Financing Solutions, FX Sales & Trading, Portfolio Solutions, and Global Link. Additionally, the team handles Financial Resource Management, covering capital, funding, and liquidity allocation, monitoring, and optimization. Responsibilities Lead and develop a global team of credit analysts in Boston, London, and Hong Kong. Lead Front Office Credit analysis and contribute to product expansion, including new jurisdictions, trading strategies, counterparty types, and private credit counterparties. Negotiate credit terms with clients and ensure proper monitoring of ATEs. Create and maintain counterparty default plans. Meet with clients, prospects, industry peers, and regulators to present risk processes and conduct due diligence. Coordinate counterparty due diligence visits and collaborate with ERM and senior management on regulatory and client projects. Lead crisis simulation exercises and respond to counterparty stress events. Represent Front Office Credit Risk in global meetings. Qualifications Master's Degree or equivalent in economics or business. 10-15 years of experience in counterparty credit risk preferred. Deep product knowledge in securities lending, prime brokerage, OTC derivatives including FX. Professional designations (CFA, FRM) preferred. Strong risk management focus and communication skills.
