Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of Nursing invites applications for the position of Graduate Nursing Director. The Director provides academic and administrative leadership for graduate nursing education, ensuring program excellence and compliance with accreditation standards. This role oversees program coordination, curriculum development, student success initiatives, faculty support, and evaluation processes. The Director also provides leadership and supervision for the Graduate Programs Administrative Assistant. This is a 12 month position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide leadership for the MSN and DNP programs and program coordinators.
Oversee program operations, student progression, and continuous quality improvement.
Collaborate with consortium partners to maintain program consistency and excellence.
Ensure compliance with state, national, and accreditation standards.
Mentor and support faculty teaching in graduate programs.
Supervise and direct the Administrative Assistant assigned to graduate programs.
Represent graduate nursing programs at internal and external meetings.
Engage in strategic planning to advance graduate nursing education.
May teach up to 3 credit hours.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate in Nursing (DNP, DNS or PhD required).
Current unencumbered Louisiana RN/APRN license.
Demonstrated experience in graduate nursing education and academic leadership.
Strong knowledge of accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous leadership in a graduate nursing program.
Experience in consortium-based program collaboration.
Record of scholarly activities and professional service.
