What You'll Do

In today’s rapidly evolving business landscape, leveraging data and tools strategically is crucial for enhancing BCG’s offerings and fostering sustainable growth. Our competitive advantage lies in our extensive, high-quality data assets and tools. BCG has implemented a new data and tools strategy to develop world-class assets and invest in strategic areas and "big bet" opportunities. The rise of Generative AI further emphasizes the need for seamless integration of these technologies.

Key Components Of This Strategy Include

• Establishing a Practice Area-led data and tool strategy, where each Practice Area manages its portfolio and makes investment decisions, supported by a cross-PA committee to handle overlaps.
• Setting up an enhanced "Digital Factory" (DF) to provide top-tier technologies and platforms for PA tools & data assets.
• Implementing governance frameworks to ensure high-quality product portfolios and their effective use by case teams.
• Managing external data purchases for PAs with active portfolio management, unified purchasing, and charge-back mechanisms.

We seek a Global PA Product Strategy Senior Director – Digital Factory to execute this strategy and engage with Digital Factory, Practice Areas, and BCG Vantage. The role involves translating strategic objectives into actionable plans, collaborating with leadership and teams to drive progress and outcomes.

Responsibilities Include

• Strategic direction and priorities:
  • Work with Practice Area Leaders and BCG Vantage Executives to convert priorities into initiatives.
  • Create roadmaps translating strategy into operational plans.
  • Collaborate with the Investment Committee to identify high-growth or innovative "big bets".
• PA interface and delivery:
  • Serve as a central contact for PA portfolios, ensuring alignment with commercial value.
  • Engage with BCG Vantage Business Directors, PMs, and Offer Managers on requests.
  • Report on performance metrics, product updates, and launches.
• Manage demand towards Digital Factory:
  • Coordinate with DF leadership and Tech PMs to execute PA plans.
  • Ensure DF receives well-prioritized, aligned requests.
  • Work with Digital Factory on integrated data platforms for PA offerings.
• Data Layer collaboration:
  • Act as liaison to ensure data platforms support initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for data integration across PAs.
• External data management:
  • Ensure external data procurement aligns with strategy, balancing costs and value.
  • Manage external data portfolios, including assessments, contracts, and charge-backs.
• Stakeholder engagement:
  • Establish metrics to measure adoption and success.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings to track progress and identify improvements.
  • Maintain communication with senior stakeholders about progress and challenges.

• Consulting experience is a plus
