As a Global Director, Professional Education and Development supporting Global Vision Care, you will be trusted to develop and drive the execution of Health Care Professional (HCP) engagement and education and influence aligned to franchise strategies and priorities, while being the internal subject matter expert and voice of the eye care professional for the global franchise and critical cross-functional teams in our Fort Worth, TX location.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Serving the global franchise portfolio teams, Business Development and Licensing teams, and Research and Development (R&D) teams as the voice of the eye care professional for pipeline strategies, new product concepts, claims, messaging, and go to market strategy
Developing and enhancing relationships with global and regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) for insights on the pipeline, development opportunities, and areas of strategic focus (CL and OH)
Ensuring a strong systematic approach to collection and integration of HCP insights across all stage-gates with global advisory board plans and efficient HCP consultations
Developing and managing relationships and partnerships of major global professional organizations and associations, educational institutions, and researchers to be at the forefront of the industry
Influencing the strategies and plans for new product claims
Develop product launch professional education strategy to build awareness and brand preference through best-in-class education, crafting consistency of messaging and tactics for the broader Professional Education and Development team
Serving the global franchise commercial teams in an advisory capacity on clinical, technical, and medical related topics
Offering guidance as a thought leader in the industry for HCP peers on key industry topics, landscape, relevant disease states, and business priorities with a keen understanding of key communication platforms
Fostering strong relationships with critical cross-functions and regional Professional and Education Development leads

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs.; Assoc.+14 yrs.; M.S.+7 yrs.; PhD+6 yrs.)
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
10 Years of Relevant Experience
6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Clinical practice and/or industry experience
Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) or OUS equivalence in optometry required
Strong interpersonal skills suitable for working in a multinational/diverse environment
Excellent category knowledge
Demonstrated strategic leadership and recognition by the KOL community
Enterprise mindset
Strong ability to influence without authority
Advanced presentation skills
Fluency in other European languages are a plus
