Our client, a multi-billion dollar global OEM, is seeking a Director Aftermarket Service for their industrial & engineered equipment business line. This position will report to a Corporate VP and will own and manage all aftermarket activities within Canada, North America, and Latin America including P&L Management.

Reports to : Corporate Global VP who reports to COO
Scope : Field Service, Field Project Management, Shop Repair
Personnel : 7-10 Director, Manager, and Project Staff Direct Reports
250-300 total staff at any given time
Locations : 10 global repair locations
P&L Accountability: $110 million
Additional: Work closely with Sales, Parts, and Engineering
Function:
Own and lead Global Aftermarket Service operations in the Americas. Direct, control, coordinate and promote business activities of the region.
Duties:
Profit and Loss (P & L) ownership for the overall administration of the Region.
Implement long range plans and drive for profitable growth in region. This includes identification of locations that require closure, re-purposing, further development, or new facilities, based on market requirements.
Plan, organize, direct, and maintain responsibility for all Global Aftermarket Service Operations (Repair, Field Service, and Parts) within the region. This includes all support and services for all operations, support functions and safe environment for all employees.
Identify capital expenditure needs for the respective businesses within the region with supporting business justification.
Manage the warranty, scrap and rework, and cost reduction planning and implementation for the Region.
Partner with Financial team to monitor and develop operational rhythm and routine reporting.
Collaborate with Quality Partner to lead the implementation of the Quality Assurance and Quality management Systems programs.
Promote and oversee EHS programs including sustainability within the region; develop safety culture and adherence to EHS policies and procedures.
Active involvement with Business Unit Aftermarket and Global business within the region to promote synergy & growth opportunities.
Provide general management leadership for regional team including; leadership development, retention of key talents and equipping the workforce for continuous business growth, mentoring, etc.
Plan and organize methods to develop personnel to implement strategies and achieve planned goals.
Oversee management and maintenance of competency management system and ensure this is rolled out across all product lines.
Collaborating closely with global peers and stakeholders to ensure objective and strategy alignment.
Implement and/or maintain procedures to meet and achieve compliance with local and governmental regulations within the region this includes all areas of business - Legal, Financial. Code of Conduct, FCPA, etc.
Identify growth opportunities outside current operations sphere whether geographic, product or market. Provide business case justification and financial impacts.
Preferred:
Position requires at least a university degree (BS) preferably in engineering or business and 15 years industry experience.
Position requires in-depth knowledge of financial and business administration matters in order to control and run profit centers.
Must have 10 years management experience with excellent motivational, controlling, organizing, and planning abilities.
P&L or operational management experience is a requirement.
Proven Leadership and Managerial skills in an aftermarket service environment
