Description A Freestanding Emergency Medical Center is seeking an experienced Full-Time RN Director to lead and support the clinical team. This role combines direct patient care with key administrative responsibilities , ensuring the smooth operation of the emergency department. The RN Director will work three 12-hour shifts (days or nights) while overseeing nursing staff, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with medication and supply protocols. Responsibilities: Clinical Duties: Provide high-quality emergency care , including triage, assessments, and interventions for adult, pediatric, obstetric, and geriatric patients. Accurately carry out physician orders within the RN scope of practice. Identify and respond to medical emergencies with appropriate intervention. Perform laboratory testing and results reporting as assigned. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care, treatments, and responses. Ensure adherence to patient safety and quality care standards through participation in Performance Improvement activities . Administrative Duties: Manage nursing schedules , including call-offs and shift coverage coordination . Oversee medication review and narcotic medication reconciliation to ensure compliance and safety. Monitor and manage supply inventory , ensuring availability of essential medical resources. Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork . Requirements Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current Texas RN licensure in good standing. Minimum two years of ER experience , with both adult and pediatric patient care required. ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications (must be current). Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills . Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced emergency setting.
